ahhhhh....

I can finally relax- 3rd semester is over!  i just looked at the date of my my last post - it's been awhile.  new resolutions for 4th semester: study smarter (wishful thinking), more sleep (highly unlikely), more exercise, more antioxidants, and more photo updates to this blog.

I haven't been stateside since Christmas and I was really looking forward to the break. I started the trip with a stopover in NYC, where I met up with an old friend Scott for some amazing Thai food. Then it was off to Cleveland for family time and a visit with a few friends.

It made me nostalgic for long, simple, snowy days in the High Atlas Mountains - when cooking, baking and feasting with friends were my only priorities...

surf, sun and fancy french soap!

I just returned from a fabulous trip to the french island of Guadeloupe. The island, shaped like a butterfly and known for its surf and rum distilleries, is only a couple hours by boat from Dominica. I stayed on the south coast in a small beach town called Saint François. We surfed and rode bikes around town during the day, and then went out for local music and great french cuisine in the evenings. I still can't believe its so easy to get there from Dominica! À bientôt Guadeloupe...
